Based on experience and a clear understanding of the way dogs think, interact, and react to the human pack, training at Kingdom K-9 begins with education of the human so that you will be able to relate to your dog in a manner that both you and your dog will understand. Kingdom K-9 will ensure the development of a meaningful relationship based on trust, communication and continued education.

Sidney Washington III

Sidney has doing obedience training with dogs for 25+ years.  It was his childhood dream.  He started in Chicago, IL working with trainers Oscar Tanner and Dewey Taylor.  He worked there until 1988 and then moved to Birmingham, Alabama.  Before moving to Gadsden, Alabama in 2002 he has worked training dogs in Florida, Georgia, and Texas.  He is amazing in his ability to communicate with dogs and get them to do his bidding.

Joe developed his love of dogs early in life at his grandfather's knee who had two trained hunting dogs.  After graduating from college he moved to Birmingham, AL.  While working there close to kennels owned by Dick Lovelady he began helping out there in order to learn how to train dogs.  Through Dick and his family he was led to the Lord and also  Schutzhund training. (Schutzhund is a German word meaning “protection dog.”It refers to a sport that focuses on developing and evaluating those traits in dogs that make them more useful and happier companions to their owners rather than just rating their appearance.) Joe spent most of the 80's with this kennel.  He has had about 26 years experience in working with training dogs for obedience, personal protection, security, and tracking.  He has worked for the past couple of years with Sidney at Kingdom K-9 along with pastoring his chuch - Liberty Tabernacle of Praise Assembly of God.
